Mink Memory Bears
I can create heirloom quality mink teddy bears out of that coat that you've had hanging in your closet. If your mother or grandmother have passed down that beautiful stole or coat to you and you'll never wear it, why not have it made into a bear?
This mother and daughter were created from a beautiful jacket. I didn't normally make any bears smaller than a 15" bear until my customer challenged me to make 2 bears, "Mom and Me". I love a challenge. We used the lining from the coat for the pads, and used the embroidered name for the pads of the larger bear. As you can see, I now make a 10" bear.
"Minky" was the first real fur bear I created. I was participating in an art show, and I wanted something very special. I bought a stole and it took me two days to finish. Needless to say she sold before the judges even came around. The first person that saw her gave her a very special home.
After her mother passed away a daughter wanted to give her two children a very special memory of their grandmother. We made two bears from her chocolate brown mink coat, and on their suede pads we added the name they called her. Below you can see the third bear I created. There wasn't enough of the chocolate fur, so I incorporated the mink collars from two other coats to complete the bear. A two-tone bear has it's own unique personality.
Even though all of the real fur bears are muslin lined to make them last for generations, I can't promise your fur is usable until I examine it.
